As for traditional cast , you have to first wrap the affected area with cotton fabric and bind it with bandage , or tape it with tape or cast bandage. So , it causes itching and odor as you can not have contact with water , which causes great pain on patient’s part.

- HM CAST is made up of unique fabric , which is knitted with unique weaving , so it has a good air permeability , thus resulting in reduction of itching and odor. As a result , after you can take shower or bath it is naturally dried with air permeation and body temperature ( water repellency fabric)

Wearing Procedure

As for traditional tape method , it requires a measure of expertise for wearing procedure. And despite such expertise , still there is a possibility of wound due to curved surface of skin.

- HM CAST is worn just like socks are worn . And due to its flexibility , it hardens according to the natural curves of skin so it causes no wound and feels comfortable.

HM Cast ( One Step Type )

Short arm

 

01. Roll the skin protector in donut shape and put it from the finger edge and unroll it upwards.

 

02. Take out the cast from the package and roll it in donut shape.
(Depending on whether to fix thumb or not , decide whether to cut and adjust a portion of the cast)

 

03. Dip the rolled cast in cold water for 3-5 seconds and shake off the water once or twice.

 

04. Leaving about 3cm of loose end from the skin protector ( in order to fold and attach the loose end onto the cast after the cast is worn ) , roll the cast around the affected area in round shape and fix it by folding the protector.

 

05. Unroll the cast up to the end and finish it by folding the loose end of the skin protector.

 

06. Do molding procedure.
( Now , you can do molding procedure by applying some water in your hand once or twice , then hardening starts.)

 

07. Complete shape of the cast!!

Short leg

05.Finish it by folding the loose end of the skin protector on the two sides and do molding work.
(Now , you can do molding procedure by applying some water in your hand once or twice , then hardening starts.)
